Center Point Volunteer Fire Department responded at 3 AM on July Fourth to the first emergency calls coming in during the devastating Kerr County floods. While the entire staff was performing swift water rescues and evacuations, the floods destroyed their station and equipment.
They lost nearly everything.
They're still making every call.
They're still searching for flood victims.
While civilian volunteers start to comb through what's left at the station, CPVFD firefighters are 100% focused on search, rescue and recovery efforts. There are still 150+ people missing.
